IN or OUT?

Happy Labour's Day, though, I don't really understand why Labour Day should be celebrated when it reminds us that we are after all labourers and not our on bosses!Haha. At least not yet :)
But it's still a cause to celebrate for my family cause it's my dad's birthday! So, year in year out, I still do celebrate this day, though not for conventional reasons.

Anyway, I happened to read an FB message my friend posted up about the Chinese, not being represented in the near future if we do not repent and vote for MCA. After catching up on some news reading, that's what our beloved PM told the Chinese. So there ya have it. Vote MCA or No voice. It's as good as saying Vote for BN or DIE!:)

Wow. MCA as the voice of the Chinese. Nice. Not really. I believe the voice of the Chinese was needed back then when Tun Tan Cheng Lock founded the MCA. Back then Malaysian unity was still an idea, and the dominant in Malaya, needed a representation to voice out their grievances.
54 years on, apparently we still need a representation for a Chinese voice. It's incredible really.
If one where to look at the slogan "1Malaysia" it should mean that Malaysia, diverse in races and culture as it seems, should have 1Voice be it Malay, Chinese or Indian (the order of races was typed at random and in no way shows any superiority of one against another).
In this new era of politics and governance, shouldn't we have already dispensed the idea of race based parties?
Perkasa has also warned that MCA and Gerakan toe the BN party line. I mean, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? (Pardon the pun, but I do admit that I loved that show when it was shown on TV ages back!)
oh, yeah, so whose line does MCA need to toe anyway? And what line is that? I mean I would think that UMNO are calling the shots in most things anyway, so what does MCA need to do to toe the line? Anyway, that's really a small issue cause I don't really care what MCA is going to do. If they toe or don't, it doesn't matter.
As far as I've known about politics and stuff, I never really regarded MCA as the voice of the Chinese. Don't get me wrong. There are many people in MCA who are doing a hell of a job, be it charity work or even tireless tasks, and here is where I acknowledge the people whom I really respect in MCA (i.e. Michael Chong). But MCA as a whole, unfortunately does not work well for me. Perhaps even if Ong Tee Keat was still the MCA President, I would have considered. But he stood his ground, something not many MCA presidents can, and he was subsequently trampled. Unfortunately.

I think we don't really need another UMNO or MCA or MIC to play the racial card. To warn the respective races to elect their own, in order to have a voice in the government.
By now, we should have dispensed with race based parties. And here's where I had initial faith in PKR. A party where of multiple races and even DAP to a certain extent.I wouldn't put PAS in the same category as it's still very much mono ethnic at this point. For fairly obvious reasons. But i will still vote for PAS given a choice between them and BN. Even with all the negative press Pakatan Rakyat is getting, I would still give them the benefit of a doubt and continue to strive with them.

But that aside, my point is, we don't need another party to stand up and say that they will be a party for one race and to voice out the race's grievances. We don't need a 1Malay, 1Chinese and 1Indian administration because the very ideological core of these parties is still the interest of one particular race. And here's where I don't agree with BN anymore. Sure they started off as something that Malaya needed at that time, but we are no longer Malaya, as we are now MALAYSIA.

With messages, like the ones that our PM puts across recently, smacks of hypocrisy (and I am guilty of hypocrisy sometimes,I admit)towards Malaysian unity. Seperti menconteng arang di muka 1Malaysia!! If that is so, then 1Malaysia merely proves that is nothing more than another hollow slogan spoken off to appease the public and nothing more. Well, never really agreed to the slogan anyway as it never meant anything to me.

So, back to the question of MCA being in or out? It doesn't matter anymore. And frankly, I wouldn't want them to voice my opinions. I would have better candidates that I would like to put in governance given the chance.

By the way, I watched Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa last night. Thought it was quite ok. Not as bad as I thought and the CG was impressive although not all the time.
The storyline is pretty simple though the performances of Steven Rahman Hughes tries to rip off a little of Captain Jack Sparrow. Trying to pull of the 'pirate with a wit' I reckon. And a Roman prince who knows kung fu does seem far fetched.
But overall, it's perhaps a glimmer of hope that Malaysia can produce good movies and I read that it's the highest grossing movie of all time in Malaysia.
It does make me proud :). KRU productions are ambitious and I believe they have the capabilities to produce movies of international standards.
And by the way, the Princess, who is actually Chinese Brit, is pretty hot. Nuff said :)

I've died and gone to music heaven!

Ok. Not really.
But I decided to go to my usual weekend spot. Amcorp Mall. Actually I was in between times, after church, lunch and a movie at 6.40pm and I didn't wanna go home just yet. Or rather, it rained so heavily, going home and coming out in such a short span of time wasn't really what i had in mind.

So i thought ok. Kill time. Hunt for rare cd's, sometimes 2nd hand ones, or comics, if maybe get a Transformer figurine or a book...or books..nah..i don't usually get Transformer toys except the small cheap ones. Collectibles. But I recently got myself a decent one, or three. After a span of say.........19 years? :) yes...its been that long since i laid my hands on one!
I had some cash to spare so why the heck not?
Anyway I only thought of getting one cd and then leave the place like it was Egypt with the plague!
And then I came upon this stall.I knew they had good collectible cds and vinyls. I bought ASH - 1977 from this stall and ASH 1977 was really really rare! Can't find it no more in Rock Corner or Victoria Station.
Anyway i was browsing and i chanced upon White Zombie's Astro Creep 2000! I remember trying to get Rock Corner to order it for me. That was back in 2008. They haven't really gotten back to me. Guess not now anyway.
So ok, i picked it up, and i was ready to leave....but no!!....I saw Stabbing Westward's Darkest Days!
Months earlier i have picked up their first cd. And it was awesome..but i knew Darkest DAys was a collectors. Rare.
Then ok. I thought that was it. Then i saw Stone Temple Pilot's Core! I have been searching for that as well! DAMn..ok..3 cd's....time to leave.....
I saw Alice in Chain's Jar of Flies....oooohhh i needed that! and then I saw a rarity....the Sundays - Reading, Writing, Arithmetic! how rare is that! Too bad they didn't have The Sundays - Static and Silence.
Ok now...5 cd's but I only wanted to get 4 cause it still aint cheap.
So.......I decided to forego Alice in Chains cause I thought The Sundays was more of a rarity. Besides, I saw 3 Alice in Chains cd's hahah so I told the man I will come back another day to get that.
So, I'm happy with my purchase, but I was pissed cause I spent more money again.
Damn.
I should boycott Amcorp Mall ler really...BOIKOT SIAL! :) haha...But I can't. Not just yet.
So i leave you guys here with music from the cd's I got. And I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Anyway said website is called Anubis-Den. Can check it out from this link.

Stone Temple Pilots- Plush

Stabbing Westward - Torn Apart

White Zombie - More Human Than Human

The Sundays - Here's Where the Story Ends - Harriet Wheeler's voice is just angelic. Sweet as honey ahaha

Lynas - History repeating itself?

I never knew that Bukit Merah had a rare earth processing plant.
Not until we had a discussion during Life Group at Crossroads and after reading about it on the papers soon after. But all this, from the aftermath of the nuclear crisis that Japan is facing.

Many questions where raised, i.e., why weren't we aware of the Mitsubishi plant in Bukit Merah until now? Or rather how come we were not told about this? This was back in the 80's, and yes, perhaps I was still a kid back then, only worrying if Optimus Prime would return from death or if Gaban was more a sissy than Ultraman.
But even then, we as little tots would have at least heard of some stories like how there was a cholera epidemic then which involved 'lou shu fan' or in English, rat tail noodles (Do not be alarmed, as these are rice noodles but only named as such), but yet, we have never heard of the Bukit Merah rare earth processing expedition. AND IT IS NEAR IPOH NO LESS!!What the heck?!

Maybe my parents didn't think i would be old enough to understand back then.
Or back then, media was more controlled and stringent. Or perhaps the thought of higher GDP growth was good for a building economy back then. And perhaps they didn't know the outcome of radioactivity from the produce waste that would now cost them RM303 million to clean up, and after 2 decades later it has not been fully resolved.

However, the question today would be this, are we going to let history repeat itself?
It is sad to read of stories of the people who have experienced it, and are now paying the price for it.
And yet, as humans, we never do learn.

China is the largest rare earth producing, processing and export nation in the world. And perhaps, with more and more rare earth plants closing after environmental concerns, perhaps China will take full monopoly of the market. And perhaps, it may be fair that China's concerns are usually building up its economy without regards of any environmental concerns. Where else can you get fake eggs or melamine in milk?
Perhaps my assessment on China is not even fair, but that is what I observed thus far and it is quite unethically disturbing.

Should we then forsake the few for larger monetary gain? I guess it's easy for the government to allow policies at the expense of, say a small population. But surely that is unethical and if we get into the lowdown on human rights, then everyone under Article 5 of the Federal Constitution has the right to live!

I have no answers but merely questions on this:-

1) Is higher GDP growth worth risking the lives of the people of Gebeng?
2) Are we ready to have another processing plant where the first one has failed?
3) A review panel will be formed to review the scope of the Lynas plant but is the review of the scope clear and by whose standards? Not China's I hope.
4) Lynas is from Australia, and Australia has hordes of land, so why not build a processing plant over there?
5) If the Australian parliament reports of the inherent dangers of the processing plants and Australia is privy enough to not have it in their backyard, then why are we ignorant of ours?
6) And if sh*t does happen, are we prepared to face it?

I don't know about you, but with our leaking roofs in Parliament, I somehow have very little confidence in our safety measures.
And we shouldn't even begin to talk about the proposed nuclear plants.

Well, rare earths have their benefits, and most ironically, the metals produced from rare earth are used to manufacture batteries for the Priuses and Insights. Talk about irony! hahaha.

I guess, if I were given a chance to weigh both, the benefits and the detriments, right now, or perhaps in decades to come, we will be benefactors of more detriments instead.

I know which stand I will take and I will concur with the citizens of Gebeng, Kuantan.

Once bitten, twice shy.
I will be staying tuned to more news especially from the Malaysian Insider. You can follow it too from this link.

Small Ripples

After an intense day of voting at Sarawak, it is pretty sad to see that BN still retains 2/3 of the majority. Taib Mahmud is still sworn in as the CM of Sarawak. Guess for all the news that change is 'imminent', it was not apparent on April 16 2011.
But change will come (or at least I still hope) as the elections showed that there is improvement in the oppositions chances.

Now, 15 seats out of 71 seats contested may not seem like much, but it's a major improvement in a state such as Sarawak where it was termed as BN's "fixed deposit", or perhaps, what it used to be. It's interesting to note that Taib himself lost 25% of the majority he used to enjoy as compared to 2006. And the fact that the urban areas of Sarawak are more receiving of the opposition brings somewhat an unprecendented joy to a once dull opposition. PKR did not fare well, with only 3 seats but DAP managed to win 12 out of the 15 it had contested in. Positive news. :)

This would perhaps be a mini referendum to the current government that they should never rest on their laurels and that the call for improvement (in leadership, governance and administration) is one call that never rests.
So, although Taib Mahmud retains Sarawak, it is only a matter of time before that 'imminent change' will actually happen. And I am counting on it. :)

And I also leave here a clip I happened to chance upon on my friend's FB page. A clip showing Elizabeth Wong's PA getting arrested (without any warrant and neither was any grounds of arrest delivered to him when he asked of his arrest). If I can remember my Criminal Procedure Code correctly, unless he is suspected of some sort of dangerous crime, then the police may exercise their 'discretion' to make that arrest.
Well, let's put it this way, it's election season and this people are campaigning. How hardcore can a crime be under these circumstances unless it's some underworld election ala the movie Election? Well, still trying to find out the reason for the arrest as I write this post. Hope I can find it soon. Or maybe tomorrow. But I leave this video here, for your viewing and for your discretion and judgment.
Thank you for free media like youtube. Shameful as it may be to our country for this to be shown, but it is a necessary one.

Date of destiny - Sarawak's D-Day

16 of April 2011 is a day of destiny for Sarawak.
It's been decades since the Taib Mahmud took over the reigns as Sarawak's Chief Minister.
Reports leading up to the elections have been interesting.More so as more and more corruption accusations are cropping against the Chief Minister of Sarawak. Not all the reports are local, but of international standards. Sarawak Reports is one of them> and the articles therein are some i have had the opportunity to read.
There's always more than meets the eye with the politicians in Malaysia.

The Al-kitab issue has indeed left a bad taste. And once again, gutter politics is resorted to assassinate one's political career. No guesses that it's Anwar's credibility once again that lays on the line. And as RPK comes clean with his Statutory Declaration, giving more insights (i hope), all these things seem to be falling into place.
Malaysiakini, i heard was hacked and as I continue blogging, i read from Malaysian Insider that Radio Free Sarawak is not available and so is Sarawak Report.I mean of course these sites are hacked. Why not? these are deemed dangerous and controversial, at least at this hour. OK. Malaysia kini is still down as I type.

I read that the longhouses in rural Sarawak will also be giving satellite television facilities. Only after elections mind you. Haha..Suddenly subsidies and grants are pouring out. And as usual, one would ask, where were these subsidies all the while? Or has the government actually gone soft all of a sudden, and decided that the rural people of Sarawak need to be on their toes pertaining to information? Whatever it is, we all know one thing for sure and that is propaganda, like it or not :)

However amidst the circus leading up to April 16, the bigger picture and the main focus is ...what will the people choose? Not so whom, but what? Whether they want change or to maintain as status quo and complain about it for the next 5 years or so? :)
The devil they know all these while? If they choose the devil they know, then the devil they shall live with rite? it only make sense. I mean thats the most sensible equation.
So, why not opt for change instead? Although you may be voting for the devil you may not know...but its a chance. That change might happen! rather than voting for the current CM, and knowing that there is no chance for change and more and more riches from Sarawak are siphoned for personal gain.

Anyway, tomorrow is Sarawak's date of destiny. I hope the people of Sarawak will choose wisely. We have been praying for change, and we hope to see it come to past.

People of Sarawak, the choice is in your hands, and change is perhaps imminent, as a Sarawakian friend of mine told me :)
I'm not Sarawakian, but i truly hope that change is imminent! Make a change!

Sleeping Beauty (How it was never told)

I have heard of tales of a beautiful princess, locked up in a tower in the middle of the Dark Forest. The town folk’s men called it the Dark Tower.

“She was taken away by the Sorceress Morgan from us as a punishment for my deeds. She had been asleep for some time now. Ever since Morgan had inflicted this terrible curse upon her. A curse that puts her to sleep until true loves’ first kiss is planted upon her lips. Or if none, for eternity.

A beast guards the tower. The Beast had the body of a dragon, talons of an eagle, horns of a bull and was fire breathing. And many have tried to rescue her from such a horrible fate. But they have done so in vain. Prince Markus of Errlund was the last to perish from the quest”.

This was what was told to me by King Lehnarnd, the princesses’ father as I listened and sipped the blood red wine offered to me. No men could refuse such splendid wine.

“I miss Lilith. I miss her so much. It’s been nothing but darkness since she was taken from us! Please, sir, please bring her back to us, and relieve me of this punishment!”

I am Prince Valiant, and I was summoned to take on this quest. To rescue the King’s much beloved princess. Many princes have gone before me. Many have perished. Not I. I’m certain this task would not prove daunting for my capabilities. After all I’m not named Prince Valiant for being a coward. The land knows me for my bravery and my perfect being. Would it not then the reason be that I was summoned for this cause? Of course I would succeed. Twas’ never a doubt in my mind. Furthermore, if I succeed in my quest, Princess Lilith will be my bride, and I will one day inherit the land of Rhionnan. This land of Rhionnan, beautiful with streams flowing of milk and honey some say. It will be the ultimate prize.

The king showed me a painting the princess. Beautiful as the brightest star and skin as fair and white as the snow. Her lips red and her hair ebony black. She had a small mark on her forehead. Not very distinct but nevertheless apparent. A radiance or glow surrounds her. Looking at her painting further fuelled my desire. Such a wild desire it is. But also a sense of caution invoked in me, or fear as I look into her wild eyes. Nevertheless, I’m drawn by her beauty and my cause for this perilous journey would be a worthwhile cause indeed. I decided then, that I will embark on it at all costs.

So, my journey began the next day. The King and Queen of Rhionnan bade me farewell as I embarked on my quest. As I left, I could have swore that even they, the Royals seem to be crying for me. A look of sadness was all but evident in their eyes. Why is this, I asked myself. But I shrugged it aside as fast as I could remember.

My loyal steed, Ebony (for the colour of her skin was as black as ebony) was to be my only companion for the journey ahead. We traveled to the Wild Lands en route to the Dark Forest. The roads in the Wild Lands are dangerous. The Highwaymen claimed a stake in these areas. Any traveller unfortunate enough to travel these roads meet unfortunate ends, either robbed or murdered. Sometimes both. All this however, is nothing to me.

True enough, in these harsh roads, I encountered the Highwaymen. They tried to rob me. Of my horse, my sword and my bagful of rations. The encounters were short. They did not stand a chance. All ten of them. My sword skills prove no match for these dimwitted fools. It was all too easy. I decided to take one of the severed heads of the Highwaymen. I chose the ugliest. What a prize this would look in my trophy room. I have have had hunted boars, lions, wolves even trolls. But this Highwayman was the first for me.

As I continue my journey along Baskarn, a small town past the Wild lands, the townspeople of Baskun asked where I was headed. I proudly announced that I was going to rescue the fair Princes Lilith. They gave me the most fearful of looks. Some told me that my quest was foolish. A folly even. But of course, they would say such things. They are but common folk. They do not know me. I am after all Prince Valiant. And I have killed many beasts in my time. This task would merely serve as practice. After all, why should I waste my time answering queries of simple folk? They no of nothing! I stayed at an inn at Baskarn and arose the next morning refreshed not before cleaning my armour. I was on my way thereafter.

I reached the Dark Forest eventually. Six days have past. Perhaps seven. I couldn’t remember anymore. I lost track of the days passed between. But it did not matter. I was closer to my quest than ever before.
I met three trolls in the Dark Forest. The fiercest I have seen thus far. They wanted to have me for dinner. That wasn’t an invitation. The fought was bloody. But they were no matched for me. Easy tasks. All slain by my sword. More heads. More trophies. I loved trophies. I always pride myself with them, but right now, one head would suffice.

And then I saw the Dark Tower from afar. I anticipate that the Beast awaits me. It would be added into my collection of odd creatures list of slayed creatures. I smiled at that thought. This was going to be all too easy.
With an anticipated breathe and a tinge of fear (or at least I thought I felt it) I reached the Dark Tower. The sky was dark, but it had a red glow. An unnatural red twilight glow. And I could tell, it was dusk. No time to waste. Time to claim my prize.

Strangely enough, there was no Beast. Rather, the Dark Tower was surrounded by thick hedges almost as high as the tower itself (or some sort of creepers, but I couldn’t tell). It was still dark except for the light illuminating from the window above.

No Beast then, I thought to myself. How odd. Perhaps the beast was on guard in the Tower itself. Given the limited space to spar, it would be more a challenge. Something I looked forward to. Prince Valiant was always fond of challenges.
I entered the Tower. The doors have been broken into. I saw some skeletal remains on the floor. Previous suitors for Lilith? Perhaps. I felt a sense of sympathy for those who preceded me. I climbed up the Tower stairs and finally reached the upper room where the light was emitting. I have looked upon the other rooms, hoping to find the Beast. For me to slay. But nothing thus far. And now the upper room in the upper floor.

In the room, I see candles and smoke, brightly lit though. I smelled a foul stench of what I did not know. But a foul smell. There were bones around the place. And from afar, I see a bed, with white cloth covering over the high frames of the bed. I walked towards the bed to see the Princess. I know she will be glad to see me when my kiss awakens her. However, I have this dread that I couldn’t shake off. I don’t know what.

I reached the bed and…..there was no Princess. An empty bed with blood stained sheets of white. A crippling sense of dread creep over me.

And then I heard a sinister snarl behind me. I turned to look. And I saw the most wild and fiery eyes looking back at me. And for a while I went numb and felt something hard hitting me on the face. Everything was black then.

When I awoke, I couldn’t move. My limbs did not respond. I was bound. I could see my sword on the floor. But there isn’t much use for it now. And then I saw her.

“Morgan!” I cried.

“What have you done to the Princess?!”

“The Princess? Princess Lilith? Morgan I am not, but Lilith, it is I”
she hissed.

“What?! That cannot be!” I shrugged.

And then I noticed the mark on her head. The mark was more distinct now. It was her. The Princess. Lilith! She looked nothing like the painting at all. But I knew then, I knew it was her. She had razor sharp teeth and fiery eyes. Wild fiery eyes. Her skin pale and white and rotten. She had dark, ebony black hair, but her features are now otherwordly. She smiled as I caught sight of her fangs.

Then I knew. A chilling realization. What my quest was for. There was never a rescue mission. I was the prey. I was the reward. The long suffering list of princes who died before me and now I was about to be a part of them. The curse did not put her to sleep. It had turned her into this, this thing!

“Your father said you were under a curse?! A curse of deep slumber?!” I asked. Perhaps knowing that would be my last. For the first time I felt a deep sense of fear. And it crippled me.

“Curse?” she laughed. And then she shrieked. An unnatural wail. Like the wail of a banshee.

“Twas never a curse. I am, what I am, young prince. I have never slept. Never slept at all” she hissed and smiled, wiidly.

She draws closer to me. She now bared her sharp teeth and I knew she was preparing to sink her teeth into me. Perhaps this was finally the end of Prince Valiant, the end of me. And as I felt the pain on my neck and the moist feeling of dark, red blood running down my neck and I know….it is I who will sleep in this Tower tonight. Forever.

Fragile Theology

Well, in my bid to get back my tax returns, I have decided to invest in a few books and magazines.
Seriously, after a day of completing a 47 page submissions for an appeal, the last thing I would wanna do is to read some books, after going through cases after cases looking for some obscure bloody points. But work is work, and of course, through all that reading, so too has my knowledge on the law has been topped up. Like topping up my Touch N Go card at any BP Petrol station haaha!

Ok, anyway these two books were not any random book that I decided to splurge my cash on.
The first is Teohlogy by Patrick Teoh, a very renown tv and radio personality, but more known for his sarcasm and no holds barred critiscm. He is still a funny chap and I have happened to chance his comedy shows on Youtube. Anyway, I suppose those are the reasons why I decided to get his book. And believe me, his book sold far better than our Ex-PM's Memoirs entitled a Dr in the House. Hahaha..ironic isn't it? NO?!....Nah i thought so too.

At least I think there is much more honesty in his book than our Ex-PM's autobiography. Already there is a barrage of criticism concerning his book. I wouldn't mind borrowing it to have a read and to compare certain discrepancies (more so the Tun Salleh Abbas sacking incident, which is something I am at least aware of).
So, Teohlogy was still the better choice. After all, these are all articles written by Patrick for the now defunct Off the Edge magazine which is probably one of the best magazines during its time (not government propaganda, but unbias and very much objective). Damn buying those magazines.

The second book is Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things, a collection of short stories and a follow up to his earlier collection of short stories entitled Smoke and Mirrors.
I have been a fan of Neil Gaiman and so when I was casually browsing around Book Xcess on a lazy Sunday afternoon and chancing upon his new book, it didn't take a genius to know that I would buy it on the spot. Besides, it's half the price in Book Xcess. I have been reading some of the stories and yes, he is still a master story teller, enigmatic and also imaginative. Seriously, no other writers write like him which puts him in a class of his own. If only the short stories were graphic novels like his works in Sandman, it would be even better. But of course, perhaps these stories are meant to be stories that will leave you at your own imaginative pace and wonder. I did blog about the Sandman characters in one of my previous posts, if you wouldn't mind reading it. Then again, I never know who reads my posts and rants.
Oh well.....

So, perhaps these books will keep me occupied for a few sleepless nights. And also to enable me to get back my tax refunds. HAHAHa...:)

So Bad, It's Good!!

You know how some things which are so bad, they actually become good eventually?
Like the expression, "It is so damn bad its good!"
Ok, i didn't make that up. But I swear that at least someone, at some point in their life, would have the decency to say it.
Right then....the topic of interest for this lovely Friday night would be none other than Rebecca Black with her song Friday. I know this song has been in active circulation sometime back ago. Mostly due to the ridiculous lyrics, which ironically was written by 2 blocks.
I swear, when I was in primary school I could have written better lyrics albeit slightly! And of course Rebecca Black's voice isn't exactly lovely as well.

Which makes it a pretty bad but perfect combination. Cheesy lyrics and an even worst voice to accompany it.

But don't get me wrong, her song is so bad, that it's actually good! Cause right now, my office, full of people who are dead serious, at least I know most of them are, are now singing that song. Picking bits and pieces of the lyrics, like "We, we , we, we so excited...".

And yes since today is a Friday (ok, actually its Saturday morning upon the posting of this post) but, what the heck, I would just like to share this song with you all.
The lyrics are as below, and yes, Captain Obvious would be so proud of the lyrics :)

SO it's, FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GETTIN' DOWN ON FRIDAY!

Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin' forward to the weekend

It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend

Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Partyin', partyin' (Yeah)
Fun, fun, fun, fun
Lookin' forward to the weekend
